Who We Are

Grantmakers for Southern Progress (GSP)  is a network of funders dedicated to advancing equity and justice throughout the South. We partner with foundations, social movements, and progressive individual donors to grow a robust ecosystem of support for transformative change in the region.

What We Do 

• We build relationships between funders and frontline communities to foster trust, accountability, and long-term partnership.
• We deepen understanding of the South’s history, political landscape, and movement infrastructure through education, storytelling, and narrative change.
• We grow and sustain investments in organizations and networks led by people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ communities, advancing racial, economic, gender, and environmental justice.
• We provide technical assistance to strengthen funder strategies, align with grassroots efforts, and support collaboration rooted in equity.
