Register to join Grantmakers for Southern Progress for our pre-conference session during Seeding (and Ceding) Transformational Power, NFG’s 2025 National Convening.

This pre-conference session will present an opportunity for national and southern philanthropy to work together to help shift the Southern narrative. Through intentional dialogue led by Southern practitioners, intermediaries and Grantmakers for Southern Progress, funders will adopt a detailed understanding of Southern infrastructure, the ingenious work of under-resourced movement practitioners and begin to develop collaborative strategies to expand investments into the South through a funder organizing lens.

Together, we’ll explore these questions:

• How do we define Southern infrastructure? How does infrastructure differ in rural and urban areas of the US South?
• What are the current critical areas of work on Southern frontlines?
• How do we utilize the existing Southern infrastructure to effectively move resources on the ground? What roles do intermediaries and philanthropy serving organizations play in the Southern funding ecosystem?

Event Details:

Date & Time: Monday, July 14 from 12:30 – 4:30 PM CT.

Location: For safety and security purposes, we will send out the address to participants after they register for the session. We ask that you don’t share this publicly.
